Awesome Game!!

Midnight Club 3 is an awesome game. The partnership with DUB Magazine made the game a lot better. You can customize pretty much any part on the car, from the lisense plates and window tint colors, to the trim and NOS color. And with almost every upgrade, you can choose a custom color for it (window tints, neon colors, exhast color, etc).

Now I own Need For Speed Rivals and Midnight Club 3. And I have also rented Ridge Racers for a month at gamefly.com.

Now with Ridge Racers, nothing could be customized, except for the car color. And the races were really boring, you always started in last. The turning was kind of weird because you didn't turn, you slid. And there was no real music, just like intense elevator music. With the other two, you get actual songs to listen to while you race. This game isn't worth the $40, but might be worth the $20 to some people, to get a used copy, at gamefly.com.

Need For Speed Rivals is a pretty good game. Most things are customizable, but you had to choose from their colors, and almost everything was locked. With Midnight Club 3, almost everything was unlocked, you just can't afford everything yet. Need For Speed Rivals did have more race types, but you couldn't free-roam like on the PS2 version (Neeed For Speed Underground 2) or like on Mignight Club. Need For Speed Rivals was a great game at the PSP Launch, but now I give it about 3.5/5, after seeing Mignight Club 3. I guess Need For Speed Rivals is worth the $40, but go for midnight club if you can.

Now Midnight Club 3 for the PSP is awesome! I rented the PS2 version on gamefly.com for about a month, and both are almost identical. I have noticed only two major differences:

1. Slower loader times! It could take about 45 seconds to load the garage, or about a minute to load the free-roam mode, or a race. But it's still worth it, because you can go anywhere in the city, and check out any part in the garage.

2. Controls are pretty different from the PS2 version. Some features are on different buttons, but you get used to them in about 5-15 minutes.

Out of these three PSP racing games I say that Midnight Club 3 is a winner. It's definately worth the $50 (or $40 on eBay). If you don't believe me, maybe you should rent it at gamefly.com.
This game rocks

Rockstar Games has done it again. This is one of my favorite games on the PS2 and now on PSP. Graphics are outstanding, soundtrack is awesome. Game play is superb, with a story in the background, it adds realism to the game.

If you like street racing and love PSP, this is a game for you.

5 out of 5 on everything!

I own both versions of MC3 for Sony's systems. Almost identical to the PS2 version in everyway; MC3: DUB Edition(for the Playstation Portable) delivers insanely fast racing, with the hottest, licensed, real-life SUVs, import tuners, muscle cars, choppers, and luxury rides around. You can customize them with the latest rims, trims, and upgrades just like in the pages of DUB Magazine. Out of all the racing games I've seen and played on the Playstation Portable(my favorite being Need for Speed Underground Rivals)up to this point; I've never seen a game as ambitious as this. I'm really impressed with what Rockstar North was able to accomplish on the PSP with MC3. The graphics are simply amazing.

My biggest gripe, as it was with the PS2 version, is the long loading times. Thing is, they're even worse on the PSP. I clocked nearly a minute and a half waiting for a race to load. Once getting past that; the game, literally, rocked hard(just like I said in my PS2 review). If you can get past that yourself, you'll see your money is well-spent on this game. It delivers on racing thrills and chills.

The best portable racing game ever!

This is best portable racing game ever!

What's good about this game is that while
racing, you can take any route you like!
(kinda like racing in a entire city!)

It's 10x better than Ridge Racer & Need for
Speed:Underground Rivals , 5x better than
Wipeout, & 2x better than Burnout Legends.

You can customize your cars(like
Need for Speed)but maybe even better!

The graphics look so real!(Especially for
a portable system)

The bottom line:(Some features Not Talked About)

Pros:

*Multiple Routes for Tracks(City-Racing Style)

*Customizable Cars(looks & racing)

*Unique and Good Amount of Cars

*Great Tracks(or in this case cities)

*The Best Graphics (you'll see for a while
for a portable systems)

Cons:

*Long Loads(But Worth It)

*Framerate(Not that Bad)

*No Traffic

*No Online Play(But Multiplay is good enough)

Extreme Mechanics

Very fun game to play. I bought this game for my daughter, she loves racing games, and she loves it. Keep up the good graphics.
